The Cockburn Association and Covid-19

Posted on 18 Mar 2020 by Lucy

The Council of the Association have instructed staff to work from home and, where possible, self-isolate in order to help manage the coronavirus outbreak.

They have also suspended all Cockburn Committee meetings and engagements with stakeholders where possible.  This includes consultative meetings with developers and their professional teams.  This measure, following government and NHS advice, will stay in place to the end of March when it will be reviewed.

During this period, the office will closed.

However, the Cockburn will continue to operate. We will concentrate on major issues such as City Plan 2030 and developing the Cockburn’s Our Unique City thought-piece that will focus on amenity and quality for residents and visitors alike.  The commodification of Edinburgh’s public spaces will be a further focus of activity and we’ll take the time to reflect on the implications of this pandemic on the City, its economy, its heritage and its communities.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep abreast of issues.

If you need to contact us, please email as usual and we’ll get back to you.  Addresses are:
